A Trip to RememberLast summer, my friend Emma and I decided to travel to a remote village in Southeast Asia. We were both excited, but we knew it was a typical beach holiday. The area was beautiful, but there was modern facilities.Before we left, we made sure to get all the necessary shots. We explored jungles, met friendly locals, and tried local food. Then, on the third night, I woke up with a huge red bite on my ankle. I panicked! We called the helpline, and within an hour, a local doctor arrived. He gave me some cream and said the bite wasn't dangerous.We realized that our plan of avoiding all insects had clearly failed. It was almost how we thought we could outsmart nature!We both agreed that adventures like this a bit of risk and a good sense of humour. And looking back, we were so grateful we had prepared properly – the insurance, the water, the shots – because they gave us peace of mind.
